On May 27, 2008 the New Mexico Racing Commission approved the Downs At Albuquerque license transfer to Moriarty. There was opposition from the Acoma and Laguna tribes west of Albuquerque. The first race meet on the 500-acre site just north of I-40 is planned for the summer of 2010.

I invite you to attend the Mid-Summer Breakfast on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Billy’s Bar & Grill next door to the Billy The Kid Casino from 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. and the meeting to follow breakfast is from 9:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

The Thoroughbred Yearling Sale will be held on July 25th & 26th after the races.

I’ve learned that if there were no problems, there would be no opportunities.

Sincerely,

Anna Fay Davis
