ALBUQUERQUE – King Dynasty earned the first win of his career Sunday at Albuquerque Downs, narrowly prevailing in the $100,000 New Mexico State Fair Quarter Horse Juvenile under jockey Raul Ortega.
Owned and bred by Meluking Ranch, LLC and trained by David M. Gomez-Barraza, King Dynasty dueled on the lead throughout the 400 yards journey and held off the late rally of second place finisher King of the Rode to score the win by a head, stopping the watch in a time of 19.786 seconds, earning an Equibase Speed Index of 85.
