Bigg Picture scores impressive win in Zia Park QH Championship Invitational
HOBBS – Bigg Picture earned the second stakes win of his career Sunday at Zia Park, racing to a one-length score in the $100,000 Zia Park Quarter Horse Championship Invitational under jockey Noe Garcia, Jr.
Trained by Wes Giles and owned by Uno Menos, Bigg Picture broke alertly from the starting gate and raced on the lead every step of the way, winning convincingly while racing 440 yards in a time of 21.01 seconds.
Bred in New Mexico by MJ Farms, Bigg Picture is a 4-year-old gelded son of Big Daddy Cartel out of multiple stakes winning mare Astica. He has now won eight times from 21 career starts with earnings surpassing $440,000.
Bigg Picture, sent off as the slight post time favorite, at odds of 2.40 to-1, returned $6.80 to his winning backers. The $2 exacta with runnerup Jess A Salty Candy paid back $136.80. Bout To Learn Yall finished third wirth co-favorite Shakers No Secret rounding out the top four finishers.
