This form must be submitted to the New Mexico Horse Breeders Association before the broodmare leaves the state of New Mexico.
If a New Mexico Broodmare in foal to a New Mexico Stallion is consigned to an advertised sale out of the state, she may leave the state of New Mexico seven days prior to the start of the sale, but must return to New Mexico no later than seven days after the completion of the sale for the foal she is carrying to maintain eligibility for accreditation.
If the foal is an Embryo Transfer, either the Donor Mare or the Recipient mare, whichever is leaving the State of New Mexico, must return to New Mexico within seven days after the completion of the sale. If either mare does not return to New Mexico, the foal’s eligibility will be voided.
The seller or buyer must notify the New Mexico Horse Breeders Association on the status of the broodmare in foal within seven days after the completion of the sale for the foal she is carrying to maintain eligibility for accreditation.
