My Heart Jess Runs has earned $117,089 from two races this year, and she will be shortening in distance off of her neck victory in the 400-yard, $238,000 Shue Fly Stakes (RG2) on January 28. The filly drew post 3 and will be ridden by Mario Delgado for trainer James Gonzales III.

Other contenders include Wood Dee Queen, a multiple graded stakes placed Eye Am King filly trained by Fred Danley for owners J & SM Inc., Don Reynolds, and M. Lane Reynolds. A $34,000 yearling purchase at the 2021 New Mexico-Bred Sale at Ruidoso Downs, the filly is coming off of a second-place finish to My Heart Jess Runs in the Shue Fly.

Wood Dee Queen’s juvenile campaign included a third-place finish, a half of a length from winner Talbott, in the September 25, $626,000 New Mexico State Fair Futurity (RG3) at Albuquerque Downs. The filly drew post 4 and will be ridden by Sergio Becerra Jr.
