Reliance Ranches LLC’s Proofsinthepuddin is the morning-line favorite and 120-pound highweight for Sunday’s 1-mile, $100,000 Peppers Pride Handicap (R) for New Mexico-bred fillies and mares at Sunland Park.
A 4-year-old daughter of the Bernardini stallion Marking trained by Todd Fincher, Proofisinthepuddin is coming off of a third-place finish, 2 1/4 lengths behind winner Slammed, in the 6-furlong, $100,000 La Coneja Stakes (R) on February 6. The chestnut filly has earned $98,224 from 10 races.
Proofsinthepuddin drew post and will be ridden by Roimes Chirinos.
