Kelsi Purcell is taking the New Mexico Bred, Our Native Angel, to compete in the Retired Racehorse Project to be held at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington Kentucky this October. She plans to compete in the Competitive Trail Ride category for the first discipline and the Competitive Ranch or Jumper categories for a second discipline. This project helps to find retired racehorses a new career.
Our Native Angel was owned by the late Clifford Reed and is currently owned by Deeana Reed. She was trained by Nancy Summers and her breeders are Pierre and Leslie Amestoy and Mike Abraham.
We would like to wish Kelsi good luck in the competition and thank her for her efforts to find a second career for Our Native Angel!
We would also like to thank Pierre Amestoy, Jr. for doubling the NMHBA’s sponsorship to help Kelsi with her expenses.
