Six New Mexico-bred 2-year-old Thoroughbreds, all of whom will make their first career starts, are entered in Sunday’s 4 1/2-furlong, $55,000 C.O. “Ken” Kendrick Memorial Stakes (R) at SunRay Park.
Trainer Todd Fincher will send out two contenders, including B4 Farms LLC’s Bye Bye Matty P. A son of Attila’s Storm out of the winning Danzig mare Kizka, Bye Bye Matty P is a half brother to Plea Agreement, the winner of the 2014 Budweiser Special Stakes at The Downs at Albuquerque.
Bye Bye Matty P drew post 4 and will be ridden by Tracy Hebert.
Fincher will also send out Fred W. Alexander’s Roll On Camron, a homebred daughter of Roll Hennessy Roll and one of three fillies in the field. Roll On Camron is out of Nineteenninetyfour, a winning Roman Ruler mare and a half sister to two stakes winners, including Rydilluc, the winner of the 2013 Palm Beach Stakes (G3) at Gulfstream Park.
Roll On Camron drew post 5 and will be ridden by Aldo Arboleda.
Bobby J. McQueen’s Annie Get Ur Guns drew post 2 and will be ridden by Christian Ramos for trainer Jose R. Gonzalez Jr. Annie Get Ur Guns is a daughter of Awesome Indian out of Silver Jonesy, a Silver Season mare who won the ’09 Dessie & Fern Sawyer Futurity (R) at The Downs at Albuquerque.
