Saturday’s 6 1/2-furlong, $100,000 Jack Cole Stakes (R) for New Mexico-bred Thoroughbreds has drawn a total of 18 entries and has been split into two divisions by SunRay Park management.
Each division has drawn nine entries. Maurcenia Cross’ Jet N G (pictured) is coming off of consecutive second-place finishes in the February 28, $100,000 Albert & Henry Dominguez Memorial Handicap (R), and the March 26, $100,000 New Mexico State University Handicap (R), both at Sunland Park. Gary Cross trains the homebred 8-year-old Mr. Trieste gelding.
Jet N G drew post 8 and will be ridden by Jorge Carreno.

The second division of the Jack Cole is headed by morning-line favorite Evacuee. A 6-year-old son of the Pulpit stallion Abstraction trained by Todd Fincher for owner B4 Farms LLC, Evacuee is coming off of a Sunland Park winter campaign during which the gelding earned $62,400 from two races and scored a 1 1/4-length victory in the 5 1/2-furlong, $100,000 Mt. Cristo Rey Handicap (R) on March 12.
Evacuee drew post 7 and will be ridden by Felipe Valdez.
