Warm Red Wine will bring a two-race win streak into Saturday’s 350-yard, $50,000 Champagne Lane Stakes (R) for New Mexico-bred fillies and mares at Albuquerque Downs.
A 4-year-old daughter of Big Daddy Cartel owned and trained by Jose Meraz, Warm Red Wine has won both of her starts at the Albuquerque meet, including an open 330-yard, $41,500 allowance dash on October 7. The mare was a $40,000 purchase at the 2020 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale.
Warm Red Wine drew the rail post and will be ridden by Daniel Amaya.
