Mark The Winner (pictured), an undefeated daughter of the Bernardini stallion Marking racing for Rodney Brooks and Donnie Reid, drew post 5 for Sunday’s 5 1/2-furlong, $112,992 Rio Grande Senorita Futurity (R) for New Mexico-bred 2-year-old Thoroughbred fillies at Ruidoso Downs.

A bay filly trained by Simon Buechler, Mark The Winner has won both of her starts — including the second of two Senorita Futurity trials on July 21 — and she has earned $18,480. Mark The Winner will be ridden by Christian Ramos, who has ridden the filly in both of her outs.

The other trial winner, J. Kirk and Judy Robison’s Make Up A Story, is a homebred Marking filly trained by Todd Fincher. Make Up A Story has won two of three races and has earned $35,040, and she is coming off of a neck victory in the first Senorita Futurity trial.

Make Up A Story drew post 6 and will be ridden by Felipe Valdez.
