Woody Rocks (pictured), a sorrel son of the Dash Ta Fame stallion Woodbridge owned by CHR Racing, is one of a dozen state-bred 2-year-old Quarter Horses entered in Sunday’s 400-yard, $100,000 New Mexico State Fair Juvenile Stakes (R) at Albuquerque Downs.

A $25,000 yearling purchase from breeder MJ Farms at last year’s New Mexico-Bred Sale at Ruidoso Downs, Woody Rocks has earned $193,794 from six races, and he’s won two stakes, including the 400-yard, $368,000 Zia Futurity (RG1) at Albuquerque Downs on July 28. The gelding drew post 2 and will be ridden by Christian Ramos for trainer Tony Sedillo.
