Rex Wells’ Bigg Dee (pictured), a multiple graded stakes winning 4-year-old Big Daddy Cartel gelding, headlines Sunday’s 440-yard, $75,000 First Moonflash Maturity (RG2) for New Mexico-bred Quarter Horses at Albuquerque Downs.
Trained by James J. Gonzales III, Bigg Dee has earned $130,000 from five races this year, and his season record includes victories in the February 12, 350-yard Mesilla Valley Speed Handicap (RG2) at Sunland Parrk, and the August 6, 400-yard Zia Stakes (RG2) at Ruidoso Downs.
Bigg Dee drew post 6 and will be ridden by Mario Delgado.
