Derrick W. Jenkins’ Corrina Corrina (pictured), a homebred multiple stakes winning 5-year-old daughter of Mr. Trieste, is the morning-line favorite for Sunday’s 1-mile, $100,000 Peppers Pride Handicap (R) for New Mexico-bred fillies and mares at Sunland Park.

Corrina Corrina is coming off of a second-place finish, 2 1/2 lengths behind winner Lemon Drop Gold, in the February 2, 6-furlong La Coneja Stakes (R) at Sunland Park, but that setback broke a six-race win streak that included four stakes, including the 1-mile, $200,000 Peppers Pride New Mexico Classics Distaff Championship (R) at Zia Park on November 27.

All told, Corrina Corrina has won 12 of 25 starts — including four of six at the 1-mile trip — and she has earned $833,870. The mare drew the rail post and will be ridden by Tracy Hebert for trainer Gary Cross.

The complete lineup, in post position order including jockey and weight assignments and morning-line odds:
Corrina Corrina (Tracy Hebert, 126), 3-5
Amass Money (Miguel Fuentes Jr., 119), 15-1
Our Time To Shine (Irwin Rosendo, 121), 9-2
Whisper’s Mark (Christian Ramos, 120), 10-1
First Again (Felipe Valdez, 122), 7-2
Delia (Ken Tohill, 121), 8-1
