Three stakes winners during the Sunland Park winter meet — Cheese Tray, Sea Emperor, and Delbert Too — are among the 12 New Mexico-bred Thoroughbreds entered in Saturday’s 6 1/2-furlong, $100,000 Jack Cole Stakes (R) at SunRay Park.

The 5-2 morning-line favorite, Cheese Tray (pictured) is a homebred 4-year-old Attila’s Storm gelding trained by Todd Fincher for owners J. Kirk and Judy Robison of El Paso, Texas. Cheese Tray is coming off of a three-quarter length victory in the March 27, $120,000 New Mexico State University Handicap (R) at Sunland Park.

Cheese Tray drew post 3 and will be ridden by Alfredo Juarez Jr.

Sea Emperor is coming off of a Sunland Park meet during which he won three of four races — including the February 27, $100,000 Albert & Henry Dominguez Handicap (R) — and earned $88,680. The homebred 7-year-old gelding is trained by Jose R. Gonzalez Jr. for owner Gallegos del Norte Racing of Albuquerque.

Sea Emperor drew post 10 and will be ridden by Christian Ramos.

Delbert Too races is a 4-year-old son of Marking owned and trained by Filiberto Quiroz, who claimed the gelding for $15,000 at Zia Park on November 16. Delbert Too scored an upset victory at odds of 31-1 in the 6-furlong, $100,000 Jamison Memorial Stakes (R) at Sunland Park on January 30.

Delbert Too drew post 5 and will be ridden by Aldo Arboleda.
